Experience true freedom in the air during a magical flight in a microlight

Have a go at flying in a small yet tough aircraft. It is a safe and economical method of getting airborne and is sure to provide you with a thrilling experience! During your flight you have the chance to take control of the microlight and learn some basic manoeuvres. If you take a look down whilst in the air you will see the glorious Kent countryside passing by below you. This is a mind-blowing experience which you are sure to remember forever!

On arrival at the airfield you will be introduced to your instructor. They will brief you about microlights and what will happen during the flight, as well as answering any questions you may have about flying, the centre or the aircraft. You can then choose whether you want to fly a fixed wing or flex wing aircraft. The instructor will taxi you to the grass runway, go through final safety checks and take off. Once airborne at about 2000 feet control of the microlight will be passed to you. Learn some basic flight manoevures such as turning, climbing and descending. When you return back to land you will be given a certificate as a memento of the flight.

Notes

On purchasing this experience you will be issued a voucher valid for 10 months for one person. You are then free to call and book your flight with the flying school. No previous flight experience is necessary. Flight time will be approximately 20mins, you have the choice of which microlight aircraft you wish to fly, you will reach 2000feet and travel at 50-60mph.  It is advised that you bring a jacket or jumper as it can get cold whilst airborne, even in the summer! The school is open all year round, 7 days a week. The minimum age for this experience is 14 years old. Family and friends are welcome to come along and watch from ground and take pictures. The experience is subject to availability and weather conditions - it is recommended that you ring the school on the day of the flight to check it's safe to fly.
