A superb day for those serious about adventure and flying!

Feeling adventurous? This incredible away day is a must for anyone wanting to experience the thrill of really controlling a helicopter. Once in the air, you will have the chance to fly the helicopter yourself, while taking in an amazing bird's eye view of the beautiful Midlands countryside. Your training will take place in a two-seat Robinson R22, and this day is highly recommended for those seriously considering acquiring their Private Pilot's License (Helicopters).

The ‘Away Day' package includes:
Pre and post flight ground briefings.
Tea or coffee during a brief introduction to the controls.
Two hours of flying, split into two or three flights.
A commemorative log book. The log book will detail your flight and can be used to keep track of any future helicopter lessons. All flying time in a logbook can be put towards the 45 hour minimum which is required by the CAA in order to gain a PPL (H).All flight time counts towards a helicopter license should you decide to continue training.
Tuition is usually in a Robinson R22 Beta.
Please book well in advance to ensure a mutually convenient time.
Please note that lunch is not provided during this experience and you will need to bring your own.

Notes

Your voucher is valid for ten months for one person. Tuition is in a Robinson R22 helicopter. All training helicopters have dual controls so the instructor can safely demonstrate and monitor the handling of the aircraft. There is no maximum height, although minimum height is 5 foot. There are no age restrictions; however, age 14 should be used as a guideline. Maximum weight is 17 stone.
